Cessation of effective cardiac output.

Diagnosis

  • Unresponsive + not breathing / gasping

Management

  • CPR 30:2 (depth 5-6 cm, rate 100-120/min)
  • Shockable (VF/pVT): defib 200 J biphasic
  • Non-shockable (PEA/asystole): adrenaline 1 mg IV immediately
  • Reversibles: 4H (hypoxia, hypovolaemia, H+, hypo/hyper-K, hypothermia) + 4T (tension pneumo, tamponade, toxins, thrombosis)
