Tranexamic Acid
Dose
Trauma: 1 g IV bolus + 1 g over 8 h (within 3 h). PPH: 1 g IV. Topical for epistaxis.
Use
Major haemorrhage, PPH, trauma, menorrhagia.
Monitoring
Bleeding control.
Side effects
- • Thrombosis (rare)
- • Visual disturbance
- • Seizures (high dose)
