Lipid Emulsion 20% (Intralipid)
Dose
1.5 mL/kg IV bolus over 1 min then 15 mL/kg/h; up to 2 further boluses; max 12 mL/kg total.
Use
Local anaesthetic systemic toxicity; adjunct in severe lipophilic drug overdose.
Monitoring
Continue CPR throughout; recovery may take >1 h. Monitor for pancreatitis and fat overload.
