Investigations
- • Bedside echo (RUSH/FALLS)
- • Lactate, ABG, CVP, ScvO2
Diagnosis
- • Hypovolaemic: haemorrhage, GI losses
- • Cardiogenic: LV/RV failure
- • Obstructive: PE, tamponade, tension pneumo
- • Distributive: septic, anaphylactic, neurogenic
Management
- • Fluids (30 mL/kg) except cardiogenic/obstructive
- • Vasopressor: norad first-line most types
- • Address cause (blood for haemorrhage, PCI for MI, antibiotics for sepsis)
