Dose
2 mg IV q4h until bleed control (max 72 h)
Use
Variceal bleed, hepatorenal syndrome.
Monitoring
BP, ECG, peripheral perfusion, Na⁺.
Side effects
- • Ischaemia (peripheral, mesenteric, coronary)
- • Hyponatraemia
