Dose
5 mg PO OD; increase to 10 mg if needed.
Contraindications
- • Narrow-angle glaucoma
- • Myasthenia gravis
- • Significant bladder outflow obstruction
Use
Overactive bladder with urgency/urge incontinence after bladder training.
Monitoring
Post-void residual, cognition in the elderly, anticholinergic burden.
Side effects
- • Dry mouth
- • Constipation
- • Blurred vision
- • Urinary retention
- • Confusion in the elderly
