Prasugrel
Dose
Load 60 mg PO, then 10 mg OD (5 mg if <60 kg or ≥75 y).
Indications
- • ACS undergoing PCI
Contraindications
- • Prior stroke/TIA
- • Age ≥75 (relative)
- • Weight <60 kg (relative)
- • Active bleeding
Use
Preferred over clopidogrel in STEMI-PCI in young patients.
Monitoring
Bleeding.
Side effects
- • Bleeding (higher than clopidogrel)
