Nebivolol

Dose

2.5–5 mg OD; max 10 mg.

Mechanism

β₁ blockade + endothelial NO release → vasodilation.

Indications

  • Hypertension
  • HFrEF in elderly (SENIORS)

Dose adjustment

CrCl <30 or hepatic impairment: start 2.5 mg

Use

Well-tolerated β-blocker (fewer metabolic effects).

Monitoring

BP, HR, LFTs.

Side effects

  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Bradycardia
  • Peripheral oedema
