Dose

2.5–40 mg OD.

Mechanism

Direct ACE inhibition, renal excretion.

Indications

  • Hypertension
  • HFrEF
  • Post-MI (GISSI-3)

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy
  • Bilateral RAS
  • Angio-oedema history

Dose adjustment

CrCl <30: start 2.5 mg

Use

Once-daily ACEi with no hepatic metabolism.

Monitoring

U&E, BP.

Side effects

  • Cough
  • Hyperkalaemia
  • Hypotension
