Idarucizumab
Dose
5 g IV as two 2.5 g bolus infusions given within 15 min of each other.
Use
Life-threatening bleeding or emergency surgery on dabigatran.
Monitoring
Thrombin time/APTT, repeat dosing if bleeding recurs, restart anticoagulation when safe.
Side effects
- • Rebound anticoagulation
- • Thromboembolism once reversed
- • Hypersensitivity
