Dose
15 mg/kg PO OD; reduce interval if eGFR <30.
Use
Fourth drug in intensive-phase TB to prevent resistance.
Monitoring
Baseline and monthly visual acuity and colour vision (Ishihara).
Side effects
- • Optic neuritis (dose-related)
- • Red-green colour blindness
- • Peripheral neuropathy
