Dapsone
Dose
50–100 mg PO OD (dermatitis herpetiformis); part of multidrug leprosy therapy.
Use
Dermatitis herpetiformis, leprosy, PCP prophylaxis when co-trimoxazole not tolerated.
Monitoring
G6PD before starting, FBC weekly for 1 month then monthly, methaemoglobin if cyanosed.
Side effects

- • Dapsone hypersensitivity syndrome
